Sahel Pro ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Sahel Pro mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Information you provide:
- Phone number — for account verification via WhatsApp OTP
- Name — to personalize your experience and delivery
- Email address — optional, for account recovery
- Delivery addresses — street, building, floor, and apartment details for order delivery
- Profile photo — optional, for your account avatar
- Order notes — special instructions for delivery
Information collected automatically:
- Device location (GPS) — to find the nearest warehouse and calculate delivery fees. Only accessed with your explicit permission.
- Anonymous session ID — a random identifier (UUID) generated on your device to maintain your shopping session
- Order history — records of your purchases for order tracking and reordering
- Product browsing data — favorites, recently viewed items to personalize your experience
Voice data:
- Speech-to-text input — when you use voice search in our AI shopping assistant. Voice audio is processed on-device and only the text transcript is sent to our servers. We do not store audio recordings.
2. How We Use Your Information

- Personalize your shopping experience (favorites, recommendations, buy-again)
- Provide customer support via our AI shopping assistant
- Send order status updates
- Improve our services and app functionality
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be shared only in these limited cases:
- Delivery fulfillment — your name, phone, and address are shared with our delivery personnel to complete your order
- Payment processing — if you choose electronic payment (CliQ), your payment is processed securely
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect our legal rights
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal information based on the following legal grounds:
- Contractual necessity — processing your orders, verifying your identity, calculating delivery fees, and providing customer support are necessary to fulfill our service to you
- Legitimate interest — improving our services, preventing fraud, and ensuring app security
- Consent — optional data such as your email address, profile photo, and voice search input are collected only with your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time through your profile settings.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
- Passwords and sensitive data are hashed and salted
- Our servers are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure
Data Retention Periods:
- Active account data — retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion to allow recovery
- Order history and transaction records — retained in anonymized form for 7 years (required by Jordanian commercial law)
- Anonymous browsing data (session ID, favorites, recently viewed) — automatically deleted after 12 months of inactivity
- AI chat conversations — retained for the duration of your session only; not stored permanently
- Deleted accounts — personal data purged within 48 hours; anonymized order records retained for 7 years
International Data Transfer:
Your data may be processed on servers located outside Jordan, including the United States (database hosting and AI services). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
We use on-device storage (SharedPreferences) to save your session, language preference, selected warehouse, and delivery address. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising identifiers. Server-side sessions use encrypted temporary storage for your shopping cart and authentication state.
We do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals as our app does not use third-party tracking.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through your profile settings
- Update your name, email, phone number, and addresses at any time
- Delete your saved addresses from the app
- Request account deletion — delete your account and all associated personal data. Visit our Account Deletion page for instructions, or email info@s-app.ai with the subject "Delete My Account".
- Data portability — request a copy of your personal data by contacting us
- Withdraw consent — for optional data processing, at any time through your profile settings
8. Children's Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
9. Third-Party Services
- Google Gemini AI — powers our "Abu Sahel" AI shopping assistant. When you send a message to the assistant, the text of your message and relevant product catalog context are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. We do not send your phone number, name, location, or any other personal data to Gemini. Google may process this data per their Gemini API Terms of Service.
- OpenStreetMap — provides map tiles for location selection. No personal data is shared with OpenStreetMap.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — used to deliver OTP verification codes to your phone number. Only your phone number is shared with WhatsApp for this purpose.
We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or third-party data collection services.

11. Changes to This Policy
